Coming up: Siuslaw Watershed Camps 2013

The dates have been picked for the Siuslaw Watershed Council's Watershed Camps. These camps are the perfect way to get the most out of summer! Come be a part of exploring the Siuslaw watershed's many rivers, streams, and lakes.

Introductory Camp:  June 24th-27th, For students entering 4th-6th grades
Intermediate Camp: July 8th-11th, For students entering 6th-8th grades
Advanced Camp:     July 15th-19th, For students entering 8th-12th grades, with previous watershed education experience

During the camps we travel throughout the Siuslaw watershed learning about plants, animals, water and land. We focus on the restoration work that is being done to keep our watershed healthy; campers will get a chance to make a difference by doing hands-on restoration work. We also canoe, kayak, snorkel, hike and much more. Introductory and Intermediate Camps are day camps. Advanced Camp includes one overnight camping trip.

Siuslaw Watershed Camps are made possible by support from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, Western Lane Community Foundation and monetary and in-kind donations from local agencies, businesses and individuals.
