Watershed Camps

Thanks to a grant from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and private donations we will offer three sessions of day camp this year:
- Introductory Day Camp– July 21 to July 25, 2008: This camp is for
youth entering grades 6 - 9. Some activities for Intro Day Camp include,
fish print t-shirts, mountain biking, identifying macroinvertebrates, and more.
- Intermediate Day Camp– July 30 to August 1, 2008: For youth
entering grades 7 - 10. Activities for this Day Camp include: Stream snorkeling,
stream flow surveys, a paddle trip, and more.
- Advanced Camp– August 6 to 8, 2008: For youth entering grades
9 - 12. The advanced camp will include an overnight. Advanced
camp participants will demonstrate a strong interest in and knowledge
of watershed science and natural resource careers. Campers
will further explore restoration and watershed management issues.
Leave no trace and historical camping skills will be taught to the
advanced camp participants during the overnight portion of the
camp.
