The ECO Wetland Food Web unit incorporates six interdisciplinary lessons to fully explore food webs and engage students across science, math, English, language arts and literacy, social studies, and art. Upon completion of the unit students will be able to:
-Explain how energy comes from the sun and is transferred through many interconnected food chains in a complex web
-Discuss that plants employ photosynthesis to harness the sun’s energy to form organic compounds as the foundation of the food web
-Express the interrelationship between the sun, plants, animals, and other organisms in a diverse wetland ecosystem
